As we've seen in recent posts in this channel, this still goes on... the back and forth between two "sides", both blaming the other for America's woes, how the other "side" is ruining the country and can even go so far as to see them as the "enemy" (I remember my friend's dad had a book on the counter called "The Enemy Within" about liberals.).

Anyone here just think both sides are fucking stupid and don't give a dick about us? You really think they have OUR best interests in mind? Because my life sucked under every single one of them and just progressively gets worse, not better. The American Dream? Gone obviously, I don't think that is even debatable. Buying a house? Nope. Having a rent that doesn't take more than half our paychecks each month? Nope. Saving for retirement? Nope. Paying for kids college without a student loan? Nope. Public health insurance like every other first world country except ours? Nope. Then at least cheaper healthcare with good insurance? Nope. Being able to easily afford to just take a normal vacation once a year without having to go into debt? Nope. Equal distribution of wealth? Nope. How about at least keeping the gap between wages and profits at a humane level so that everything doesn't go to the owning class and workers wages stay suppressed since the early 80s? Hell no, how else are we going to get trillionaires?

We are the working class, and we are getting fucked no matter who is in "power". Both sides are sucking the cocks of the elites and its blatantly obvious.

Who is really fighting for us? Who can actually make change happen? Unless we get a new "The New Deal" or something drastic changes, we will just continue to be exploited until something gives. I don't see any other way, do you guys? And for the record I am an Independent. It took me forever to realize that my previous "party" at the core of it, was really just perpetuating the status quo just like the other "side". Once you join one of those two teams, tribalism just takes over your brain and you have this back and forth nonsense about my president is better than your president, and my party is right and yours is wrong, and you are ruining the country and we are trying to make it better, and its all horse shit. Both "teams" are taking it straight in the ass with no lube. Stop looking to your left.... stop looking to your right. Look upwards.... to that huge suit wearing giant above you... pants unzipped... balls resting on your forehead.

I grew up watching "Mr. Smith goes to Washington". Thought both parties
were trying to make the country a better place. Now it seems a place
where power-hungry people stay in power as long as possible to amass as
much wealth and influence as possible.

When I see 80 and 90 year old politicians with incredible net worths, I
wonder why they wouldn't have wanted to retire and spend time with
family, friends, and enjoy life?

I suppose power is addictive.
