  • A good, free e-mail client for Mac OS X 10.6.8?

    I am a new Macbook Pro user. I bought a Macbook Pro 1.1 with Mac OS X 10.6.8 2020.11.18, and for some reason, I cannot open the Mail program. There are n error messages, the program simply does not want to open. I tried to look fo alternative e-mail clients, but they are all paid programs. I am looking for simple, good, free e-mail client for Mac OS X 10.6.8.

    Thank you for the suggestions everyone. I downloaded and installed Thunderbird 45.8.0 on my Macbook Pro 1.1 (Mac OS X 10.6.8), and it works properly. Have a nice day and happy new year!

    Haven't seen the other responses yet, but you could give Thunderbird a
    chance. Mailspring is also decent if you don't need Calendar integration.
