Greg,
I'm not a bible thumper but I do enjoy your posts on verses on the
bible some hit home!
Well, one of the poems The Good Lord gave me is entitled "Absolutely Not!!"...and it references "Should a Bible be crammed down someone's
throat??". God does NOT force Himself on folks...but gives us the free
will and choice to accept it or reject it.
In fact, on my BBS, I have Christian related items, but with this
disclaimer:
"Users are NOT REQUIRED to use the Christian related message areas, file areas, doors, or bulletins on the BBS, to stay online. If they decide to access them, it is to be of their own free will and choice. What they do
with the information is up to them". I also have both "The Apocrypha" and
"The Book Of Mormon" online. However, while I personally do not subscribe
to what's in them, they are there (as the other Christian items) "for
those who want them".
The plan of salvation is so simple, but because of mankind's pride,
they reject it because of its simplicity. Yet, everyone has to decide
for themselves. One of the doors tells how to "Get This Free Gift".
  My Gospel Poetry Collection, at
https://www.theweatherwonder.com/swj.htm
has over 450 poems...some secular on my hobbies, but most are "sacred". It
is designed as a ministry to the saved, and a witness to everyone else. One
of the poems has one "Do You Have Time For Me?", and it is the most
convicting for me personally. All of us have 1440 minutes in a day...we
make time for what we want to do.
As Hal Lindsey noted "If the believers ON Jesus are WRONG, we won't
lose much when we die. And one day, we'll know who's right". I admit when
I first heard the hymn "The Old Rugged Cross", I broke down and cried.
I saw a picture on Facebook that noted "I would rather live my life as
if there is a God, then die, and find out there isn't....than to live my
life as if there isn't a God, then die, and find out there is!!".
I used to do sing in choirs, and do mini concerts at area churches
years ago, but with health and other issues, those days are long gone
now.
