Hi,

I'm attempting to build Binkley on my Slackware 14.2 system and am getting
the following error:

../src/fcfgread.c:29:24: fatal error: fidoconfig.h: No such file or directory
#include "fidoconfig.h"
compilation terminated.
../linux/Makefile:156: recipe for target 'fcfgread.o' failed
make: *** [fcfgread.o] Error 1


Am I missing a download? I don't see a fidoconfig.h anywhere in the sources. The source I have is bsrc_xh6.zip (from the sourceforge.net page). I also
got the xh7 zip file; but I get the same results.

The only other files I see at the site are for os2 and win32.

Any help appreciated

I built BinkleyTerm quite a few years ago now also on slackware but it might have been 14.1. I built the 2.60 version from BSRC_260.ZIP. I never tried the extended versions.

I just had a peek in the BSRC_260.ZIP and I don't see a fidoconfig.h in there either.

But yeah, re missing file, I'm confused as to where that file's supposed to
be from.

I'm also trying to build Maximus but that might be a tad bit harder and don't ask me about timEd. ;P

found a clue. 'Fidoconfig' is an important core element of the Husky

Nice sleuthing there. Will grab the Husky project source and take a gander.

I first thought of husky when I saw fidoconfig. The fidoconfig library is needed by all modules of the husky project and needs to be built and installed before any of them will build.

I'm not aware of BinkleyTerm or any mailer using it though, I'm not sure what that is about.

Fidoconfig seemed to provide tools to deal with a .MSG base. It's the sort
