    MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

    Title: American Chop Suey II
    Categories: Five, Pasta, Beef, Vegetables
    Yield: 5 Servings

    16 oz Pkg uncooked elbow macaroni
    1 lb Ground beef
    1 lg Onion; chopped
    21 1/2 oz (2 cans) tomato soup
    Salt & pepper to taste

    Cook macaroni according to package directions.

    Meanwhile, in a separate large skillet over medium high
    heat, saute the ground beef and the onion for 5 to 10
    minutes, or until meat is browned and crumbly. Drain
    thoroughly and leave the meat and onion in the skillet.
    Pour the two cans of tomato soup into the skillet and stir
    well to combine.

    When noodles are done, drain thoroughly and return noodles
    to the pot. Add the hamburger mixture from the skillet to
    the pot. Mix well and season with salt and pepper to
    taste.

    Title: Indian Spiced Potato Gratin
    Categories: Side dish, Indian, Chilies, Potatoes
    Yield: 6 Servings

    1 tb Butter plus 1 ts more for
    Greasing dish
    2 lg Onions, peeled, halved
    Lengthwise and thinly sliced
    1 tb Ground cumin
    1 ts Ground turmeric
    1 lg Pinch of cayenne
    Salt
    Freshly ground pepper
    2 Cloves garlic, minced
    3 lg Baking potatoes, peeled and
    Thinly sliced
    1 c Whipping cream

    Preheat oven to 350 F. Melt butter in large skillet over medium
    low heat. Add onions and cook stirring frequently until onions
    are caramelized, about 30 minutes. Stir together cumin, turmeric,
    cayenne, salt, pepper and garlic. Butter a 13 X 9 inch baking
    dish. Layer half the potatoes in the dish, overlapping slightly.
    Sprinkle with half the spice mixture. Cover with onions. Layer
    remaining potatoes over onions and sprinkle with remaining spice
    mixture. Pour cream over top. Cover with aluminum foil and bake
    until potatoes are tender, about 2 hours. Let cool slightly, cut
    into rectangles and serve.

    Title: S. S. Kressge/K-Mart Chilli Burgers #2
    Categories: Beef, Vegetables, Sauces, Chilies
    Yield: 12 Servings

    1 1/2 lb Ground beef
    1/2 c Vinegar
    1/2 lg Onion; chopped fine
    2 Ribs celery; chopped fine
    1/2 lg Bell pepper; chopped fine
    1/2 c + 1 tb brown sugar
    1 1/2 tb Chilli spice mix
    1 tb Paprika
    1 ts Salt
    1/4 ts Pepper
    6 oz Can tomato paste
    15 oz Can tomato sauce
    3/4 c Catsup
    1 tb Worcestershire sauce

    Put vinegar in large pot or slow cooker. Add all
    remaining ingredients except meat and cook slowly on
    low until sauce is as thick as desired. Saute ground
    beef and stir in.

    Serve on soft white buns.

    Makes 12 sandwiches
