MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

Title: Ration Scones
Categories: Five, Breads, Snacks, Fruits
Yield: 8 scones

5 oz (140 g) A-P flour; extra for
- dusting
2 oz (50 g) lard or butter
1 ts (5 g) baking powder
2 oz (50 g) dates; chopped
1 lg Egg
+=BEATEN WITH=+
2 tb (30 ml) milk

Rub the lard into the flour, add the baking powder and
chop the dates. Add the egg, well beaten with a little
milk.

Mix all together thoroughly and bake @ 175ºc/350ºF

Makes 8 scones
