40 Minutes! Imagine if you had more then one network, Were they user ugradable at all?
Somewhat. The hard-card "was" the major upgrade, and if it added the DMA controller you had slightly better speed. Depending on the model you also had to upgrade the RAM to 640k and replace the CPU with an Nec V20 for 8 mhz.
The Tandy that I had came with a then-state-of-the-art 8 bit VGA video card
and a DAC sattelite-board. There were volume/microphone controls on the front of the case. The Deskmate software had a crude but interesting music/sound composer suite. This was all before Soundblaster cards became all the rage.
