    Can anyone help please!
When Callers are using the WCNAV program to
access my BBS which is on WINDOWS NT 4 server
there is a file transfer problem. The file
transfer dialoge box will appear but it remains
in a requesting state. This entry is registerd at
the log files (statistics) of the BBS. On using
the BBS with terminal mode, all works well, even
    download of files.

Hello this is Stephen Lauts and I have a question. I am having trouble with wcNAV in loging onto my website www.gpdc.us and I tried on my own computer as well as my cousin's computer and when I logon with WCNAV it just goes as far as saying "CONNECTED" but it hangs and doesn't say anything else or lets me login with my name and password. Can you help me out?

    Stephen

I logged into your BBS using wcNav without any problems.

Logically this would suggest you have a client rather than server side problem.

Do you have the latest wcNav clients installed on your PC?.

Can you login to winserver.com successfully using wcNav?

    Stephen,

This site, www.gpdc.us, does not have a proper Wildcat! Telnet server running.
The address for this site is 64.202.189.170 and if you use Window's TELNET in a DOS box:

    TELNET 64.202.189.170

You will see it connect, but no response here.

So whatever going on, you don't have Wildcat! running on this machine.

Is WCONLINE running on this machine?

If so, I will venture that you have a AVS FIREWALL or PROXY or ROUTER NAT issue or something that is interferring with your Wildcat! internet services.

TIP: It helps to post questions to "ALL" rather than to directly to me. This allows others to jump in if they have an answer.
