    about 10 echos were crosslinked... it smells like a QWK networking problem... likely restored configs that have old area numbers that no longer match the areas numbers used on the system now... QWK uses area numbers, not tags... this
    is also why you see some user posts in the wrong area from time to time... especially when the system has added new areas and pushed the area numbers around so they don't match up with the ones in the QWK packets...

    If I remember correctly, this was why Mike Ratledge made his XRS offline mail reader submit replies in FidoNet compatible .PKTs, to be tossed by the system's regular echomail processor. I used XRS up until RemoteAccess 2.00 came out, when I converted virtually all of my message areas to JAM. The QMX/RAX door was never updated to support anything other than the classic QuickBBS (Hudson) Message Base.
