  • WCReports accross network

    Hector,

    I know I have had this problem before and found the answer. But I can't seem to find my documentation of that answer. So am asking for help.

    I recently did a new install and copied my backup over it and ran
    autoupdate. Everything but WCReports seems to be working fine over the network.

    WCReports works fine on the server, btw.

    When I try to run WCReports from this PC,on the network, but not the server,
    I get the following error:

    "Component 'Threed32.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly
    registered: a file is missing or invalid"

    I tried to run WCSYSW from this machine. Didn't work.

    I have a Linksys BEFSX41 router. But I haven't changed anything on that and it worked before.

    Sue,
    You will have to *Install* wcREPORTS on any server that you are going to
    run it off of. Visual Basic Applications require quite a few RUN-TIME
    DLL/OCX files in order for the application to run. What I would do is
    use the wcREPORTS install on the box and then make sure to run the
    UPGRADE for it as well... This should copy and register everything you
    nneed to run it on the other machines.

    NOTE: I would also use the environment variables

    WILDCATSERVER
    WILDCATSERVERIP

    This will help wcREPORTS connect faster to your WINServer machine.
