    Hi Hector,

I've just recently begun really using wcReports on my system and I've noticed some odd things about it. I'm not sure if it's something on my end, but I've checked everything over pretty well and I'm not seeing what could cause these.

    1. I have one file directory with no files in it at this time. I've noticed that the info screen shows 2 total file areas with 1 active file area. I'm not sure about the difference between total file areas and active file
areas, but I do only have one file area. The counts for the message
areas are correct and both total and active numbers match.

    2. If I try to do a list on a file directory with no files, the cursor changes to an hourglass until I close that screen, although the application remains responsive.

    3. When running statistics reports, I noticed that calls during the 10 PM hour are listed as calls during the 4 PM hour. I did check the template
and it appears fine. Oddly enough, the hours are being reported as 6
hours behind the hour that it really is. My timezone is Central
    (GMT-6). I don't know if it's a coincidence or not.

    4. Again, in the statistics report, the percentages of callers using certain protocols is correct the first time a report is run after the history file is deleted. When that report is run again, the numbers become incorrect
and add up to much more than 100%. It's like there is a calculation
problem. I don't notice the problem with any other user fields besides protocol.

Just wanted to bring these to your attention, in case there are errors in the program that can be fixed.

    Thanks!

    Chris

    What version do you have?

    Hi Hector,

I've just recently begun really using wcReports on my system and I've
    noticed
some odd things about it. I'm not sure if it's something on my end, but
    I've

not sure about the difference between total file areas and active file
areas, but I do only have one file area. The counts for the message
areas are correct and both total and active numbers match.

    What you can do is:

    1) shutdown wildcat

    2) delete data\files.tot

    3) Run WCREPAIR

    4) Restart Wildcat

This will update the files.tot which sometimes can go incorrect in keeping totals usually because some people will manually delete files, etc.

    2. If I try to do a list on a file directory with no files, the cursor changes to an hourglass until I close that screen, although the
    application
    remains responsive.

I can't repeat this in the current release. Did not test older versions.

    3. When running statistics reports, I noticed that calls during the 10 PM hour are listed as calls during the 4 PM hour. I did check the template

hours behind the hour that it really is. My timezone is Central

Most likely is. I'll check to see if there are some issues here.

    4. Again, in the statistics report, the percentages of callers using

What protocols do you have in your access profiles? Are they turn on for
    all? Partial?

Just wanted to bring these to your attention, in case there are errors in
    the
    program that can be fixed.

    Thanks!

    Thanks for the report.

    Latest AUP - 6.0.451.3

    1. I have one file directory with no files in it at this time. I've

    4) Restart Wildcat

This will update the files.tot which sometimes can go incorrect in keeping totals usually because some people will manually delete files, etc.

I will give this a shot and see if it helps.

    2. If I try to do a list on a file directory with no files, the cursor changes to an hourglass until I close that screen, although the
    application
    remains responsive.

I can't repeat this in the current release. Did not test older versions.

That's OK, I am running the current release. I did run wcRepair on the file database to see if there was any change and there was no. As long as it remains a cosmetic problem, I'm much less worried about it. Can you explain the difference between the total file areas field and the active file areas field on the general overview page of wcReports?

    3. When running statistics reports, I noticed that calls during the 10
    PM
hour are listed as calls during the 4 PM hour. I did check the template and it appears fine. Oddly enough, the hours are being reported as 6 hours behind the hour that it really is. My timezone is Central

I have the standard 9 protocols that came with install (ASCII, Xmodem/CRC/1K/1KG, Ymodem/G, Kermit, Zmodem). All 3 of the access profiles available on my system have access to all 9 protocols.

    Thanks for the report.

No problem. I appreciate you looking into things!

Quick update... doing these steps didn't change my file area counts, and everything still remains the same.
