I don't think it was deliberate but the second copy with the modified date passed dupe checking here.

remember that systems using squish are limited to two second granularity... some squish tossers modify the time stamp in transit rather than only in their local base... i say this assuming the differences in the time stamps is
the other dupes with the different time stamp have their seconds as multiples of two...

The two copies I have in my message base are identical except for the time. They contain the same path and seen bys.

The first message I have is 29 Mar 21 11:13:56 and the second is 29 Mar 21 11:37:42. I recieved both of them on 29 Mar 21 13:12:20.

How we ended up with two different time stamps, I'm not sure.

The two copies I have in my message base are identical except for
the time. They contain the same path and seen bys.

The first message I have is 29 Mar 21 11:13:56 and the second is
29 Mar 21 11:37:42. I recieved both of them on 29 Mar 21 13:12:20.

How we ended up with two different time stamps, I'm not sure.

looks like a forced resend of the original OR an exact copy send for the second one... especially since they are about 24 minutes apart... that's enough time for an operator to be checking things and trying again to be sure...

That doesn't seem likely in this case. I think squish, if used, would leave some evidence in the (absent in this case) kludge lines. And you wouldn't see the '--- D'Bridge 4' tagline, when d'Bridge doesn't touch the message...

Here in The Netherlands rear view mirrors are not required for motorcycles. But I would not drive one without at least a left rear view mirror. No rear vieuw mirror -> bad.

that is the correct standard for MSGID/REPLY control lines, yes... but it is not required to support or implement FTS-0009... FTS-0001 is the only standard that is required... all others are optional...

It wasn't on purpose but I was having issues getting the mailer to send out any messages, so I ended up seding it multiple times. I've got that sorted out now (and will fix the real name and kludge line issues shortly). Thanks for the feedback.

Missing rear vieuw mirrors on motor cycles are detrimental to road safety because the biker may miss information about whet is going on behing him/her. I say that is bad.

Missing MSGID is annoying because it breaks the reply chaining, I say that is bad.

i've never seen rearview mirrors on racing motorcycles... especially dirtbikes...

I thought it would be clear that I meant motor cycles driven on public roads. Requirements like mirrors only apply to vehicles driven on public roads. Sorry for ommitting the fine print in which this was explicitly mentioned.

My point stands: In some cases someting missing that is not a formal requirement is bad.
Example: motor cycles without rear view mirrors driven on public roads in The Netherlands.

Subject linking is an inferior method of reply linking. MSGID/REPLY is superior and so that is what many use. Actually it is more a tree than a chain.
