I'm actually planning on documenting my setup, too. Once everything works reasonably well and I haven't tinkered with it for 2-3 days (like *that* will ever happen ;-) ).

My setup currently consists of BinkD, FMail, GoldEd, running on Windows. I had considered Linux, and while for example my Plex server is completely on Linux, I wanted something more familiar (to me) for the whole automation around my Node system. Because I might not be a super Pro in Fido, but I do know my way around DOS batch and PowerShell. Not sure yet if I'll bother with file areas, I'd have to see about that.

I think I would have trouble deciding which node numbers to
    reuse. ;)

The one for 1:253/114 is odd though. Someone goofed with that.
    I never had that one.

BTW, I tried to consider operating a node 24/7 from my shop's
DSL, but the router's port-forwarding is broken - hence, I
wouldn't be able to receive connections - especially the one's
    expected for ZMH.

    Hi, August!

So, when are you going to return as a node? :D

Good question. Even the Crimean network coordinator
suggested issuing a node in Crimea. ;)

Does the Crimean nc insist on the ZMH thing?

In the Zone 2, this is not necessary for a long time and many nodes do not accept incoming PSTN calls at all. It would be nice if you could receive incoming connections via binkp.

    Have nice nights.

    Hi August,

BTW, I tried to consider operating a node 24/7 from my shop's
DSL, but the router's port-forwarding is broken - hence, I
wouldn't be able to receive connections - especially the one's
    expected for ZMH.

Then you would be a Pvt node, but that is the same as being a point, in most cases...

    Bye, Wilfred.
