• What does DRM-free mean?

From Holger Granholm@2:20/228 to All on Wed Oct 16 08:52:00 2019
    Hi all.

In the latest AMSAT News Letter there was a note about satellite
operation and as I understood it was a free PDF file download of "Getting-Started" in working through the amateur satellites.

When I finally reached the AMSAT post, duck-duck couldn't do it,
I read about the said download and finally at the end it would
cost US$ 15.-. The text described it as a DRM-free PDF program!

I do understand the ®freeŻ part of it but not the 'DRM' part :o(

I think they mean "Digital Rights Free". It means that it is a plain PDF
file and you don't need any licence to open it.

    Ttyl :-)
