Title: Meen Ada

250 g Fish/Prawns
3 Onions; fine chopped
1 ts Garlic-ginger paste
4 Green chilies
1/2 ts Garam masala
1/2 ts Turmeric powder
1/2 ts Ground Chile
1/2 ts Ground pepper
Coriander leaves
Salt
Oil
For preparing the Meen Ada, firstly cook the cleaned
fish with salt, a pinch of turmeric and pepper powder.
Remove the bone , then minse with hand.Heat oil in a
pan, add chopped onion, ginger / garlic paste, green
chilli and saute it well.
Add all powders, coriander leaves and saute again.
Finally add the minced fish into the pan and mix well.
Let it cool. Now the filling is ready for Meen Ada.
Boil water along with salt .When it starts to boil, add
the rice flour and mix well.
Knead the dough thoroughly with your hands and make it
round shaped balls.
Take a ball size dough, and then press the dough using
pathiri press or with your fingers (Spread oil if
needed) and make round shaped pathiris.
Place the fish filling on the pathiri. Fold it and press
the sides.
Place the prepared ada in a steamer . Cook it for 20 -
25 minutes.
Now the Meen Ada is ready to serve. Serve hot with tea
or coffee.
You can use any fish.
