    MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

    Title: Edmund's Scones
    Categories: Five, Breads
    Yield: 12 Servings

    3 c Plain flour
    6 ts Baking powder
    1/4 ts Salt
    75 g Butter
    1 1/2 c Milk
    Extra milk

    Sift flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl.

    Cut butter in until it resembles fine breadcrumbs.

    Add milk and mix quickly with a knife to a soft dough.
    Knead a few times.

    Lightly dust an oven tray with flour.

    Press scone dough out onto this.

    Cut in 12 even-sized pieces.

    Leave a 2 cm space between scones.

    Brush tops with milk.

    Bake at 425ºF/218ºC for 10 minutes or until golden
    brown.
