Title: Spaghetti-Lovers Soup

Yield: 6 Servings
1 lb Lean ground beef
1/2 c Chopped onion
1/2 c Chopped bell pepper
1/2 c Chopped celery
1/2 c Chopped carrot
2 cl Garlic; minced
29 oz (2 cans) diced tomatoes;
- undrained
14 oz Jar spaghetti sauce
1 c Water
1 tb Quick-cooking tapioca;
- crushed
1/2 ts Dried Italian seasoning;
- crushed
1/4 ts (ea) salt & black pepper
1/4 ts Cayenne pepper
2 oz Spaghetti; in 2" pieces
Cheesy garlic bread (opt)
In a large skillet cook ground beef, onion, sweet pepper,
celery, carrot, and garlic over medium heat until meat is
browned and vegetables are tender. Drain off fat. Transfer
meat mixture to a 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker. Stir the
next eight ingredients (through cayenne pepper) into meat
mixture in cooker.
Cover and cook on low 8 to 10 hours or on high 4 to 5
hours.
If using low setting, turn to high. Stir in spaghetti.
Cover and cook 15 to 20 minutes more or until pasta is
tender. If desired, serve with cheesy garlic bread.
Makes: 6 servings
