    Title: Tomato Bacon Sipper
Categories: Beverages, Booze, Vegetables, Pork, Citrus
    Yield: 1 Servings

    1 cl Garlic
    5 Fresh basil leaves
    2 ts Lime juice
    1/4 ts Celery salt
2 md Very ripe red heirloom
    - tomatoes; halved
    1 1/2 oz Vodka
    1 tb Pepper bacon; chopped,
    - crisp-cooked
    1/2 ts Sriracha
    2 Tomato slices
    1 Center leaf romaine
1 sl Crisp cooked peppered bacon

In a cocktail shaker, combine garlic, basil, lime juice
and celery salt. Using a muddler or wooden spoon, mash
mixture to combine. Add the halved tomatoes and muddle
until smooth and well incorporated. Add vodka, bacon,
chili sauce, and ice to fill. Cover; shake well for 20 to
    30 seconds.

Strain mixture through a wire mesh strainer over a liquid
measuring cup. Using the back of a spoon, press out all
    the juices. Discard solids.

Pour mixture into an ice-filled glass. Add tomato slices.
garnish with romaine lettuce and bacon.

FROM THE TEST KITCHEN: To coat glass rims, rum rim of
glass with lime wedge. Place celery salt and paprika in a
shallow dish and dip rim of glass into mixture.

If you don't own a cocktail shaker or muddler, use a
large glass jar with lid and a wooden spoon to mash the
    tomatoes.

VIRGIN MUDDLED MARY: For a nonalcoholic version, make as
directed through step 3, omitting the vodka. Stir in
    1 1/2 ounces lemon-flavored sparkling water.

    Makes: 1 servings
