Title: Priscilla's Rice Brensie

Yield: 9 Servings
Oil
1 lg Onion; chopped
1 lg Bell pepper; cored, chopped
1 kg Mutton shank
3 cl Garlic; chopped
3 Cardamom pods
2 Cinnamon sticks
1 Red chile; seeded, chopped
250 ml Water
Salt & pepper
410 g (14 oz) canned peas
340 g (12 oz) canned whole kernel
- corn
500 g Cooked yellow rice
Heat a little oil in a large saucepan ad fry the onion
and green pepper until soft.
Add the meat and brown it.
Add the garlic, cardamom, cinnamon and chilli and fry
for a few minutes.
Add the water and bring to the boil.
Cover and simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until the meat
is tender.
Season with salt and pepper.
Stir in the peas and corn and mix with the yellow rice.
Servings: 9
