Title: Harriet Beecher Stowe's Maple Popcorn Peanut Brittle

Yield: 3 servings
1/2 c Maple syrup (grade B)
1/4 c Lightly salted peanuts;
- coarse chopped
1/8 c Kettle corn; popped, coarse
- chopped
1/4 ts Baking soda
pn Sea salt
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
In a small saucepan, heat maple syrup over medium
heat. Simmer, stirring constantly, until it reaches
300°F/150°C on a candy thermometer.
Stir in peanuts, kettle corn, baking soda and salt, then
immediately pour onto the prepared baking sheet. Use a
spatula to spread into a thin layer
Let cool 30 minutes, then break into pieces. Store in an
airtight container.
