i can't understand why old software authors not release the sources,
    it's certain death.

Ahh, yes. I've been looking around myself. The only two apps I've been able to find are HotdogEd and Aftershock. Both of which I find to have issues.

I personally have an idea that it shouldn't be too difficult to adapt the code from some variation of a Linux program to work on an Android device, however I don't have the skill to do so as of yet.

i can't understand why old software authors not release the

In some cases, I would guess that the author has simply moved on to other things and just forgot about it.

The sysop at 2:460/5858 has developed a fine bot that integrates well with the existing Telegram API to gate echos between Fidonet and Telegram groups, making echomail very easy and usable on a smartphone.

    More info in FUTURE4FIDO.

I'll have to take a look at that. Very heavy TG user. I'm not a big fan of
the interfaces I've tried to get FTN on my phone, but Telegram would be nice.

i rember when i used Mailman on linux to do echomail gate via husky export via nntp with jamnntpd, so maillist users got fidonet as maillists :)
