Ok, now a strange issue, with all the "good" readers (Sylpheed and PAN) when I answer to a post in this group I get the TO: field empty.

Now I posted in a R33 test area a message with golded and answered with pan, no
problem and the TO: field is correctly filled.

I don't know why. :(

When you answer to a post here with Sylpheed do you put the TO: field in the first row of the message or all goes right simply answering?

So Is it possibile that someone in the middle between me and you is altering in
some way the messages in JAMNNTPD ECHO so smapinntpd can't correctly reply these messages?

You could try to set noreplyaddr on and smartquote off, but it doesn't explain the different behaviour between echoes.

I suspect something in the middle, all my international areas are fed by Uli, the only one that Uli gets from Kees is jamnntpd and it's a pass-through area for him and I have troubles only with jamnntpd echo.

Yes HPT can create areas.bbs but the output of fidoconfig2jamnntpd.pl is fine and I have troubles only in this echo, in other echoes like fidotest all works fine. :(

All things considered I would hunt for a better solution. The newer JamNNTPd versions cannot be trusted. Nor can attempting 64bit compilations. Heck, even
the original basic SMAPI version cannot be either, as warned by Johan in his documentation; it was a test version of itself.

I would still be content with 32bit compiles operating in a vBox VM. They haven't failed me yet.

I have three JamNNTPd's running in 32bit systems. They all work fine.

OS/2, compiled with the good old GCC 3.2.1
Windows server 2003, compiled with Cygwin GCC version 5.4.0
Raspberry PI2, compiled with gcc version 5.4.0

It would be nice to have a real programmer to get JamNNTPd work in 64bit
OS. :)

Maybe you missed something when travelling in Italy? I enjoyed discovering Venice from the PoV of a tourist. I've seen a few scientific documentaries on Venice but I totally enjoyed Depp's experience, allowing me to accompany him in
the film.
