systemd is default disabled on gentoo, so its completly optional
I didn't know that. I might have to check that out someday.

its in kernel .config even
friend showing 5.6 with som nice things with nvidia graphics
opensource support, it does not happend each day, i can give link
to it if i can find it again :)
I've read about that. However out of all my current machines only one has an x16 pcie slot and I don't much care for the power requirements
for those particular graphics cards.
i think 5.6 was more or less maked to have all kinds of graphic card software changed to the better, not just nvidia, atleast i hope
Also if I were to populate that
interface I would prefer a 4 slot nvme adapter over a graphics card.
4 slot usb would not help ?
i can not get 8 penguins on my huawei p30 pro, does that mean its
a bad phone ? :)
Yes. :::evil grin:::
na i begin to see less needs for preinstalled google now even on p30 pro
hopefully this preinstalls will be banned soon
Would 8 penguins fit on the display?
what display ?
i have hdmi on the phone that activate AFTER boot screen framebuffering, if its
even enabled
but pkg upgrade works in a shell and openssh works aswell, and
lastly mc do nice colors aswell, hehe
I'd like to see that, not that it would interest me enough to actually buy one.
it means you could compile with gcc on it, its imho a pkg :)
its just a shame all is loosed if one uninstall the android app :<
I have a neighbour who might given he cannot live without mc
how old is ?, kids could learn more with it :)
and owns and uses a smartphone.
we all do, and ones that say never intrested them is lying :)
I've heard the camera on there is
reported to be the best there is.
p40 have better camara, even without google :)
Mind you I haven't tried 5.6 yet. Probably tomorrow.
good plan

added gentoo proc .config ? :)
gcc 9.3 is still holding as unstable here
It is worth noting that the above kernel is booting from an nvme disk mounted in a usb 3.1 external case. No penguins yet but I am still working on it. As is it is absolutely fantastic. :-)
you have to make usb mounted before starting framebufffering imho
Het leven is goed,
Maurice
keep the spirit
