Agreed. Too many base packages require a gcc-10 patch as of this writing. It is doable though but will wait until both gcc-10 and linux-5.7 become official releases, which should be soon-ish.

I have my doubts but I certainly don't have anything against gentoo. I've noticed they have gcc-10 patches already and gcc-10.1 was only released the other day.

The above is from a chrooted toolchain I am working on. It also has glibc-2.31
but a stock linux-4.6.11 kernel (not booted yet) instead of the 4.7-rc3 kernel that I previously posted about.

Also the neighbour and I were playing around with a busybox/bash enviroment for
android devices the other day and I noticed utf8 characters work. I think it would make an excellent enviroment for a WeBeBashing fidonet thingy.

Also, also we couldn't find the mc app you brought up in a previous post. Care
to share where it can be obtained?

I'd have to agree. However, how long did it take to compile? Mine took about 30

I haven't timed it recently but I do know for sure that it was longer than 30 seconds.

Mine took about 30 seconds and I was off doing other things.

open it, type

pkg install mc

got it ?

pkg upgrade

now you can play with all kind of things even make your own husky run in Termux, moha :)

binkd you have the sources, only problem i see is missing is if you uninstall termux, all installed is deleted, could be nice to make a tarball in termux api
so one can use it on another phone/tablet where termux is supported on

I found it on a search but the neighbour decided he didn't want it afterall due
to the small screen on his smartphone. I ended up installing it on a 10" tablet which looks way better. I think it would be better with a bluetooth keyboard rather than the virtual one.

I do now. I showed the neighbour and he was impressed except not enough to install it on his smartphone due to the small display. I don't blame him. Myself I don't have a use for it.

First binkd but it will have to be done with clang since termux dropped support
for gcc in favour of llvm. I'll try it later once I work out a few kinks and port this bash script over to it. First binkd though.

We could try that if you want. I'll first see what "pkg install llvm" brings to the table. Personally I would have gone with a gcc/glibc enviroment but I'll try clang which will be more in sync with all things termux.

Change it to "pkg install clang". That works and "binkd -vv" outputs;

While I am at it "ldd binkd" reports;

Now I just have to configure and get it working on the tablet over it's wireless connection. I figure a point system would be best.
