Hi there,
it looks like mbfido on my system has a problem with emails (smtp)
that are encoded in CP437:
chartran_init(IBM437, Undef): iconv_open(Undef, UTF-8) error: Invalid argument
mbfido then exits with a SIGSEV and thus blocks all mail processing
until I manually remove or "zero" the mbox files in the user's home directory.
This only happens with email, not echo- or netmail.
Does anyone know how to fix this issue? It seems like iconv is unable
to work the "Undef" source encoding. But the original message is in
CP437.
Kind regards,
Niels
Hello Niels!
On top of that it issued a advert for your system.
Please stop it.

As for the mbfido problem, I found out that this only happens if you
have set your "internet mail and news" in mbsetup set to "No internet" which, in turn, makes mbse assume that you are using UUCP for mail transport.
So this raises the question wether the error comes from a bug in
mbfido or from some missing/wrong UUCP setting.
And just in case you wondered: no, I am not using UUCP and do not plan
to use it. My intention is to use MBSE with postfix (smtp) but I've
come across this issue while trying to get email work.
