Is there a way to set the time zone in mystic? I sent a netmail to rob from mystic to sbbs and the time was all off on the message because the zone was set as utc. The clock on the computer with the bbs is cst (cdt).

No, the timezone is autodetected based on the operating system setting. In the case of your message you can see its set to -0500.

The problem messages (with the UTC-0 time zone) were netmail, not echomail.

Hrm, so if my system is presenting the wrong timezone its due to my OS?
    Is that correct?

You have to make sure that /etc/localtime and /etc/timezone are set correctly, otherwise Mystic will use UTC.

I couldn’t find how to change the zone or any time related functions so I
was wondering how to resolve this.

The mail came in And was buried in his mailbox because the time was like 5 hours off.

    Tony,

It looks like my system is set for CDT, as shown below from timedatectl. However, my message headers are showing UTC from Mystic, and users on SBBS
are receiving my mail as UTC. Any thoughts?
My time is NTP synced and correct.

    Is that correct?

That should be how it works, assuming its working correctly. Mystic relies
on the OS to provide the current system time and timezone so if that isn't proper then Mystic won't be either.
