• SMTP server config not sending emails...

From Shane O'Neill@3:770/3 to All on Wed Jan 9 15:36:28 2019
I am running Mystic v1.12 a41 and have configured the SMTP server for my gmail account but when I test it sending email by having the system send me a password reset code it will not. I keep getting "Sending password reset E-mail ... Unable to send E-
    mail " in Mystic.

I have tried every possible SMTP configuration for GMAIL under SERVERS, GENERAL
OPTIONS but can not get it to play. My current SMTP settings are as follows:

    SMTP HOST: smtp.gmail.com
    SMTP IP TYPE: Default IPV4
    SMTP LOGIN: xxxxxx@gmail.com
    SMTP PASSWORD: ********
    SMTP Auth Type: Login
    SMTP Use SSL/TLS: Forced

Under SERVERS, CONFIGURE SERVERS I have SMTP turned on with the default port 587 and IPV4: 0.0.0.0

So what am I missing/doing wrong? I have received password resets from other mystic BBS's that use gmail but mine just wont play.

    Thanks!

You should be able to find a log of the session with the SMTP server in the node's log file (in logs/node#.log where # is the node number you are logged into).

This would be the first place to start to see what the issue might be.

Thanks for the follow up, turns out it was soo simple. I failed to put the
SMTP port number at the end of the SMTP server name. ;)

Thanks for getting back to me!!!
    Shane.
