They're not. If you're talking about Vertrauen (i.e. cvs.synchro.net versus vert.synchro.net), that just means I haven't re-build/run all instances of sbbs on Vertrauen yet.

In case not aware, Janis closed up on the 31st. We are reworking the filebone.

To get them hatched out (you may have taken care of that already) but get them to Vince Cohen or Dallas Hinton (or me). Announcements in the wings shortly. If you need emails: I am at cshenk54@yahoo.com.

Okay, thanks for keeping me up to date. I have not hatched Synchronet releases into the FidoNet filebone in a *long* long while, so... haven't given it much thought. But let me know when things are stabilized and I'll give it a go.

Linux is a great alternative to Windows. I ran it before when I had a desktop pc and loved it.

I have a second PC running Linux (which I use as a Plex media server, among other things). I actually have my BBS running in a Windows virtual machine on that PC. So far I've kept my BBS in Windows, partly because if it's not broken then don't fix it. It would take some work to get it migraded to Linux, though I imagine it probably wouldn't be too difficult. I do have one Win32 door set up on my BBS (Ambroshia: Test of Time), which has been played before by some users on my BBS, but I'm not sure how much it would be missed.
