• Mail not getting through, I think it's a DNS setting issue.

So I use SynchroNet to relay outgoing mail. I forget why, it was setup that way from Day 1, but that seems to work. I can send an email to my gmail account from the BBS and it gets there. I assume email gets relayed through a port other than 25 because Xfinity blocks port 25.

I have my own domain (https://shodanscore.com), and for the most part everything seems to be working, but email isn't getting to me if I send it addressed to me. So am I supposed to change my DNS MX entries so the email goes to mail.synchro.net in order to get relayed to me, or can I tell my DNS to direct mail traffic directly to my system via a different port?

Sorry if my nomenclature seems silly.
