Hi everyone,

Cyan has been working hard on improvements to the irc server. He and I have spent a lot of hours recently going through logs, finding bugs and working on improvements. It's important to keep up-to-date with the latest developments.

Those of your who actually use the network will know we've been under a
spambot attack. While we've both been trying to mitigate it, there's pretty much an endless onslaught. We've made #synchronet +s for now so you won't see it in /LIST

Finally, it would be good if sysops could hang out in #synchronet if you're part of the network.

I know nothing about irc. Is that something each of us need to do?

I just jumped into the irc section and looked at the help but see nothing about kline in there.

I have only the synchronet irc interface on the BBS, and the synchronet irc service is listening. Do I need to adjust that listener in some way?

I have no irc services aside from that.
