• fseditor - cannot change subject when forwarding

From Nigel Reed@1:103/705 to GitLab issue in main/sbbs on Fri Jul 9 12:04:40 2021
    open https://gitlab.synchro.net/main/sbbs/-/issues/282

Before forwarding a bounced email to another address, I want to edit the subject to remove the bounce notification and replace it with my own, however CTRL-S isn't allowing me to change the subject line.

I'm confused about this report. The editor (e.g. fseditor) is used when forwarding mail. And I'm prompted where I can change the message subject:â–  Reading E-mail â–  (?=Menu) (1 of 60): FForward mail to: 1Subject: Fwd: SPAM: Re:Payment ConfirmationComment: testComment:Mail forwarded to Digital Man

I'm using DDMsgReader which doesn't prompt you to change the subject but if you compose a new message with FSEditor (sorry I forgot so specify in the original report), then you can use CTRL-S to change the subject. When using FSEditor to forward a message, it doesn't allow the use of CTRL-S.Maybe it's an option in the DDMsgReader then. I thought the sbbs msgreader also let you edit a message before forwarding.

Maybe its something special about this line in fseditor.js:``` if(edit_top == 5) {```

Synchronet itself normally prompts you for the message subject when sending an email (and as you said, in a message reader while editing a message); it's not something that DDMsgReader could do.

SlyEdit also lets you change the subject with Ctrl-S.
