    Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 572...

    The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 572
    continues.

    SUMMARY...The threat for marginal hail and a brief tornado continues
    across the watch area.

    DISCUSSION...Scattered storms persist this evening across southern
    GA into far southern SC, beneath moderate west/southwest flow aloft
    and focused along an east-west oriented outflow boundary. MLCAPE of
    1000-1500 J/kg remains over GA, with effective deep-layer shear
    around 55 kt. Low-level shear remains favorable for rotating storms
    as well, and 0-1 km SRH over 150 m2/s2 may support a brief tornado.
    Indeed, a pair of supercells currently exist across south-central
    GA, near the western part of the boundary with better access to the
    most unstable air.

    The primary severe risk may persist for a 1-2 more hours before the
    boundary layer stabilizes further. WW 572 is set to expire at 0200Z,
    but local extensions could be needed if isolated cells remain severe
    beyond that time.
