just moved to a nice cabin in the california woods, got the rear suspension of my '79 toyota tercel apart with plans to get the springs re-engineered (one of them is weak, there are no suitable replacements, $$$!). One of the cylinders didn't fire and I was concerned I had a blown oil ring, because I hearda 'pa-pop!' noise when it went, but i replaced the spark plugs and she's running like a dream.... blowing smoke like crazy, definitely not california emissions-compliant with a direct weber carb and no emissions systems or even so much as a catalytic... got a lot of welding to do until its race-ready,
hope to maake the 2015 south california rally region races come january

I remember seeing the pics you posted awhile back.

Are you at all a fan of newer rally-style cars too? I just got to see a couple neat Subarus a couple weeks back. One of them was a WRX STI with upgraded turbo

and a bunch of other custom work done, and the other was a BRZ with like 450hp to the rear wheels. Both setup for rally (or the other one just like it, but on

asphalt instead of dirt.. I keep getting the two mixed up). They were pretty neat, and I've always loved the sound of newer modified Subarus with that low bubbly pitch to them. Much better sound than the Civic's and shit that sound like they have a coffee can for an exhaust. :)
