• Wildcat 4.12 y2 fix

From Strahinja Bojovic@2:382/147 to All on Mon Oct 28 23:13:46 2019
    Hi,

I'am heaving a problem when exiting door on Wildcat v4.12: it
disconnects user after exiting door. Is there any fix for 4.12 version
    to solve this problem.

    Tnx.

Yeah, you need to get the version of PATCHWC from Joe Martin that fixes
WC! 4.12 as this, I believe, is because of a Y2K issues with Wildcat!
4.xx itself that Joe's utility patches.

    to solve this problem.

    Tnx.

    I wasn't aware MSI released a v4.12 of Wildcat! (I knew about v4.11).
What I've done in the past is to have people ZIP up the WILDCAT.EXE/OVR
files (for that specific version) and send them to me. I'll incorporate
that into PatchWC! and then re-issue it so you can verify it works
    correctly.

So ZIP them up and send them to me at jmartin@viasft.com and I'll see
what I can do. Time is limited at the moment, but if doesn't take me
too long to figure out my code (:-), I'll get it in there.

    Regards,

    Joe Martin

Yes, I did receive it and I responded to it already. The email address
is jmartin@viasft.com so you're good. As mentioned in that email, I'll
have a look at it this weekend and I'll see what I can do.

I had a look at the files you send me and the .OVR file has the
11/28/1995 04:12 time stamp on it which is about right, but the .EXE had
a more recent date. Can you send me the .EXE with a matching time stamp
    (as the .OVR) on it?

It's possible MSI used RTPatch with that version and it didn't update
the time stamp properly. Seems weird though that it did work fine on the
    .OVR file.

The reason I ask is that I applied the patch (as I do for the other
versions) but it still has issues. I have gone over this with a
fine-toothed comb and it should work. I just want to ensure I'm working
    with the correct file(s).

    Thanks,

    Joe Martin

Do you recall how your version "got to" v4.12? Was RTPatch used to
    upgrade it?

I just need an original EXE/OVR file combination. If that's all you
have, I can work with it. I just wanted to make sure I was working on
an "untouched/unmodified" version since it will be the basis for all
    others with v4.12.

Yep. IIRC they released 4.12 shortly after 4.11.
